A day to donate and share materials amongst the mosaic and glass community in both Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

Mug to Mosaic with Kelly Knickerbocker
Feb 27 - March 1, 2026 | 9AM-4PM
Location: The Groove Artspace
309 Gold Ave SW, ABQIn this 3-day course, Kelley uses each student’s personal mug as both inspiration and foundation, guiding participants through every stage of mosaic creation—from concept and design planning to palette selection, material exploration, precision cutting, and final assembly. By the end, each student will have transformed their mug into an 8" square mosaic, set in cement mortar within a wooden frame.

Andamento as Language (Hammer & Hardie and Smalto Focus) with Anabella Wewer
March 9 - 12, 2026 | 9AM - 5PM
Location: The Groove Artspace
309 Gold Ave SW, ABQIn this 3-day course, we will learn cutting techniques with hammer and hardie, working with a variety of materials, and emphasizing posture and precision. We will also be experimenting with smalto while learning how its properties and cuts influence movement and texture. With these foundations, we’ll dive into creating tesserae intentionally shaped to explore andamento as visual language.
Prior knowledge of andamento is required. All tools, including hammers, hardies, and nippers, will be provided.

Mosaic Mailbox Class
March 14, 15, & 21, 2026
Location: North Valley
A three day class, working with Jill from Miaflores Mosaics in her studio.
