Apply: Make It! Gold Ave. Street Fair
Make It! Gold Avenue Street Fair (deadline to apply is March 1, 2027)
We are seeking to create a participatory experience for ABQ community members and visitors, where folks can join in and make something (or many things!), for free. We want to build on and celebrate Albuquerque’s MAKERS culture and offer something special and engaging.
If you are an arts organization, business, school, group or individual artist interested in sharing your activity and talent – this is for YOU! We will provide participating booth artists/groups with a small ($200) stipend to help cover materials cost. If we get corporate sponsors, our stipends will grow. Stipends will be paid immediately AFTER the event, once we receive your tally of people served.
Booth spaces are 10x10, and you will need to provide your own tent and tables.
Participants will be provided with a passport to fill as they visit booths/stations. Every station will need to stamp the passport booklets of visitors as they come see you.
Selling of artwork or merchandise is prohibited, but promoting your group/organization/business is allowed and encouraged.
(link coming soon)Make It! After Dark (deadline to apply is March 8, 2027)
This will be an art performance experience, with professional artists of all stripes doing their work in public as entertainment. We seek skilled artists and makers to do this public artmaking.
We will be able to pay a small stipend ($300) for the evening, and you must be able to complete at least one finished piece during the evening (*a few exceptions will be made). One finished piece per artist will be collected and used as prizes for the passport activity of the weekend.
Selling of artwork or merchandise is prohibited, but promoting yourself/your business or organization is encouraged.
(link coming soon)Maker’s Market (deadline to apply is March 15, 2027)
We are seeking between 50-100 high-quality, diverse artists and makers who want to sell their hand-made work. Booths will be 10x10, with indoor ($150) and outdoor ($100) spaces available. The market will be held at FUSION from 11-5 on Sunday, April 4. Vendors will need to provide their own table, chairs and tents.
