    • This installation is a 3-D multi-media collage made by local mosaic artist from acrylic and fiberglass.

River of Life Bus Stops

~5 min drivetime

  • A series of mosaic installations located at bus stops within about a 1 mile stretch.

    • All are made with handmade tiles

    • You may park at the bus stops and enjoy walking around the installations

Driving south from downtown

Drive to 506 Isleta Blvd SW

  • 1st of the series along a stretch of Isleta Bl, all on the east side of the road

Drive to 974 Isleta Bl @Lopez Rd.

  • At the 2nd bus stop you will enjoy seeing an installation of larger dimensions

Continuing south to the Westside Community Center, 1250 Isleta Bl

  • 3rd bus stop you will see two of the brightly tiled installations.

Continue south on Isleta to approximately 1400 Isleta Bl, just north of Arenal Rd

  • 4th bus stop mosaic

Note: As you drive to the next mosaic site, you may want to pause at a large painted mural that has embedded QR codes, making it an interactive experience!

  • This project, led by Cassandra Reid, involved many community members, in the design as well as the making of tiles used in the installation.
